Does ANYONE Remember LAUGHTER?
With the constant talk of financial turmoil, let us not forget to take a moment and laugh. After all, laughter has the power to inspire, motivate, heal, provide escape, and bring people together. Some people even claim to have survived life-threatening illnesses with laughter. (Hmmm…this is worth investigating.
Most people spend their days working from sun up to sun down–dealing with the stress of customers needing products on back order, lawyers trying to council you, brokers that don’t return calls, doctors confirming what you already know, a boss who announces that everyone will be now work twenty-four hour shifts (what?!)–to top it off, you get a call from your spouse that your seven-year old son, Johnny, was tossing around last October’s pumpkin with the neighbor…there’s now a broken window, and rotten pumpkin and glass all over your neighbor’s couch. AHHHHHHH!
Where were we? Oh, right, laughter. Take a moment today, and laugh.
On the subject of laughter…let’s look at some comedy in the entertainment industry.

Frank Caliendo’s television show, Frank TV is coming back with fresh episodes on TBS (Tuesdays - check your local listings). Frank Caliendo is Amazing and Talented with his impressions of: President George W. Bush, Al Pacino, John Madden, Jack Nicholson, and Jay Leno. You may also recognize Frank from being on Fox’s Mad TV. This stand-up comedian is one word: FUNNY!
Apparently, we’re not the only ones with laughter on the mind. The O’Shea Report is blogging about the importance of laughter (see their blog here). This hilarious group, with a news magazine format, takes you on a journey through the ups and downs of dealing with change (and there’s a lot lately, right?). This “Saturday Night Live-meets-Dateline” production lampoons everything from communication through the ages to the future of technology.
It doesn’t get much better for Tom Papa. This stand-up comedian was recently on the Conan O’Brian Show (in early November). And get this, he will be playing the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace with Jerry Seinfield (November 21st and 22nd). He has certainly established himself as one of the most popular and hardworking comics in the industry today.
